A Texas Howdy
If you've ever been to Texas, you know that the people are friendly and speak with a slow Texas drawl that consists of "Yes, Ma'am", "Yes, Sir", and "Hun" added in with a huge helping of southern hospitality. Just ask a Texan about the best BBQ or Texas, period, and they will gladly share.
It is a huge state with gorgeous mountains to the west, a coastline in the south, piney forests to the east , and vast prairies smack dab in the middle. The temperatures are hot and hotter in the summer but typically the winters are very mild.

Texas is huge and there is no two ways about it. It has major metropolitan areas that range from sophisticated to cowboy-chic rustic.
The Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio areas team with millions of people scuttling about their day. Each city has their own character offering a robust atmosphere and entertainment. You bet you can find world renown restaurants, hotels, and uniquely Texas ambience and venues within them.
But, to truly experience Texas friendly, you need to find the small towns and partake in the true Texas which will draw you in and make you never want to leave. The hometown folk are what makes Texas so unique.
I'll try to do my best to find these sleepy little places so you too can experience Texas, in all her authentic glory.
San Antonio, Texas-
Heritage
The first Spanish settlement in Texas, and now a major city located in south-central Texas. Rich colonial heritage, the mixture of Mexican, German, Irish, and Czechoslovakian traditions give San Antonio a unique mix of art & culture. There is so much San Antonio offers. Between the world-famous Riverwalk, The Alamo, which is a part of The Mission Trail; and world class accommodations and restaurants, it’s hard not to fall in love with the Spanish style and old world charm of San Antonio.
Dallas/Fort Worth Region-
Dallas Cosmo
Fort Worth Cowboy Chic
Locally referred to as The Metroplex, Dallas-Fort Worth are sister cities that are vastly different from the other. Dallas more urbane and Fort Worth is truly where the West begins. Industries like headquartering in this area because of Texas’ easy tax laws therefore it has seen an influx of people moving to the area.
Culturally, you will find a lot of influences from the Hispanic community and that of the Old West, more so in Fort Worth. Dallas, has some of the most extensive museums and exhibitions in the world.
Austin Region
Trendy and Hip
The capitol of Texas and, also, the live music capitol of the world, Austin is the place to be.
There is also the saying, " Keep Austin Weird" and I suppose that that is due to the fact there is such a large young and hip college crowd, thanks to University of Texas near by.
Houston Region
Diverse
Houston is the most diverse city in the United States and fourth most populated. It has mild temperatures, year round.
The coast is within a hour so you can hit the beaches and be back in time to hit the nightlife scene.
