If you're like me, " you have caviar taste on a beer budget" ....or something like that.
Also, if you are anything like me, your garden area must be Pinterest ready at all times.....
The thing is, I can't just change out my garden décor every season with expensive items to keep my outdoor space looking fresh and inviting.
So, I often take things I already have on hand then give them a little "oomph and awe"
Well, this got me to thinking about those plain jane terra cotta pots I have an abundance of sitting on the balcony.
On their own they aren't too bad, but I wanted more and began thinking about what I could do to add a wow factor and pizzazz while they contained my periwinkles and begonias..
WHY NOT PAINT THEM?
YUP- PAINT THOSE TERRA COTTA POTS...I said it!
And you know what? I didn't realize it was a thing.
I got to looking on Pinterest, Tik Tok, and Instagram, guess what, I found my people that were just like me. Content creators like @vivjewelry and @hookedandhungstudio showed the process of painting pots on Tik Tok.
There were examples of beautiful, gorgeous even, pots everywhere. These pots were almost too pretty for the garden.
For me, I gathered up some acrylic paint I had, a pencil, a sharpie, and a paint brush I got from Dollar Tree- I was in business once I decided on my design idea. But, mostly I simply just went with it.
The BEST PART?
You don't have to be perfect or an artist.
It was so relaxing and rewarding .
