Nifty, Thrifty, and Dainty
I love thrifting. I love looking through thrift stores, consignment shops, and good old fashioned garage sales on the search for a fabulous find.
I used to think that rummaging through other people's "junk" was beneath me and I would never admit that I bought anything second hand.
Oh! How times have changed. Now, I live for a thrifting gold mine
.
Something happens to me when I see a lone cup and saucer sitting there in all its vintage glory and I go back in time to more gentile days; times where high teas with little finger sandwiches, made of cucumbers and the crusts cut off, were held in delicately gloved hands.
Such a passion I have for these little fine china tea cups and saucers, I can't resist
.
I found these 1970s vintage cups and saucers in a thrift shop and what I can research, they are made by the American manufacturer, Syracuse, with the Minuet pattern and are made of dainty porcelain; which I adore.
Although they are not worth a great deal, I love them and they make me happy. I display them on my coffee bar and also I have one in a vignette
